Tulasi Arati Meditation. Our Goal In Life (Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja SGGM)
Devotee - in the spiritual world do we all serve under Radharani ?
SGGM - Under the guidance of Radharani, or under the guidance of Her dear sakhis, asta-sakhi.. So this is our goal of life, ‘kabe hoibo radhara dasi’ Bhaktivinode Thakur says, ‘when shall I be a maidservant of Radharani ?
So when you offer worship to Tulasi devi we cherish this desire, ‘je tomara sarana loy tara vancha purna hoy’, Oh Tulasi devi, Tulasi Maharani you are so very dear to Krishna, Krishna preyasi. One who has taken shelter of you , all his desires
will be fulfilled. I have this desire, ‘vraje Radha-Krishna-seva pabo ei abhilasi’, I have this desire how can I get the opportunity to serve Radha and Krishna in Vrajabhumi ?’ At last, ’seva-adhikara diye koro nija dasi, nayane heribo sada jugala-ruparasi, constantly I want to see that beautiful form of Radha-Krishna in the kunja, kunja-seva-adhikara, please fulfil this desire of mine to serva Radha-Krishna in the kunja, kunja-seva-adhikara.’
But no male is allowed there in the kunja. No male is allowed, all females. Then you have to become sakhi-manjari, otherwise how you will go there and serve ? So that is our desire. When we offer Tulasi puja, prayers, we sing this thing. Last thing is ‘seva adhikara diye koro nija dasi, Oh Tulasi Manjari please make me one of your maidservants and under your leadership I’ll serve Radha-Krishna in the kunja.’
This is our desire.
