Feelings of anger, bitterness and hatred are negative.
If I keep them inside me
They spoil my body and my health.
They are of NO USE.
(The Dalai Lama)

True healing can only occur when we unconditionally love what is, exactly as it is.
When we have an experience in life which we perceive as negative, the pain and sufferings of that experiences remains with us and continue to affect us for as long as we continue to see only its negative side. For every hurt, every betrayal, every rejection, every painful experience of any kind that we fail to see the benefits in, we continue to suffer, often long after the event is actually over. We hold on to all of these perceived negative experiences and events and this ultimately allows them to damage us physically, emotionally and mentally. When we are unable to heal and release issues from our past, our physical bodies become prone to illness, injury and disease. We become emotionally imbalanced and are easily angered, irritated and upset. We become mentally fragile and regularly stressed, anxious and depressed. We diminish our capacity to experience the inner peace and joy for life that we SEEK.

The only way to truly let go of a past painful experience, no matter how hurtful, difficult or devastating is to find its positive side and unconditionally love it. As long as you see an experience as bad or negative and wish it happened, you will not be able to let go and heal. The reason for this that every experience you go through in life is attempting to teach you to love that which you are yet to love; that which you are judging about yourself, others and the world around you. When you fail to learn the lessons the experiences in your life are trying to teach you, and instead you stubbornly cling to your limited perceptions and continue to see your life experiences as negative or bad, you become trapped by those experiences and you cause yourself unnecessary pain. ( Anthony Salerno )

The simplest way to heal ourselves and release issues from our past is to look in the mirror and say,“I love you; I really, really love you.” It may be that it’s the most powerful statement we can make now. When we do that, and look into our own eyes as we do it, we connect with our inner child, who really just wants to be loved and feel safe. When we do this, miracles happen in our life. Everything falls into place. Do it a few times a day.
It’s so simple yet so very powerful. ( Louise Hay )
