Looking to Share Taxi to Vrndavana

Dandavat pranams dear devotees! Jaya Srila Gurudeva! One devotee named Kamalavati devi dasi from Holland will be arriving at about 11 pm on Oct. 11 (but probably won't get through baggage and customs until midnight of the 12th), 2009. She would like to find devotees to travel with directly to Vrndavan, as she doesn't have many free days, and doesn't want to waste them in a hotel in Delhi. Is there anyone who would like to share a cab with her, and if so, what is your flight info? Thank you. Har… Continue

Hare Krsna! I just met a devotee from Oshkosh, Wisconsin who is brand new, uninitiated. He wants to find devotees who live by him, and even get trained up as a priest. Can anyone help? "I know that Krishna is our Lord and savior. I am very fearful about contacting Iskcon temples because I am bi. I just want to learn how be a devout Hare Krishna and surrender my life to Krishna. I fear rejection. I am totaly new to the Hare Krishna religion. Are there any temples or communities in the USA that… Continue

Belangrijk

We wierpen ons

Taking My Own Pulse

Recently I had begun to feel that except for the occasional stubbing of my toe, or falling down the stairs, I'm not too attached to this body anymore. After all I don't look in the mirror any more. "Hey, I'm ready to leave it at any time," I thought. Last night I had a wake up call, both literally and figuratively.

Although I haven't had this problem since I was a teenager, because of something which was in our trash, I got attacked in my sleep by one of those subtle entities we aren't… Continue

Employer of the Month

It's the subject of video games, songs, and movies; how many workers have'nt fantasized about putting a bullet through their boss' head? Well I didn't and I doubt any of my colleagues did either. I had the most patient, understanding, non-judgemental boss a person could have. His name was Ruud, and he was anything but rude. Although he liked to listen to "Christian Inspirational Music" himself, he didn't want anyone in the depot to be uncomfortable, so he had compiled a tape of songs that were s… Continue

Radhastami ki jaya!

On Radhastami '07 I was asked by the head pujari to sprinkle water from the pancapatra cup onto each person's hands before they bathed Radha and Krsna. The kirtan was roaringly loud, so I could not explain to novices what they were supposed to do. I first attempted to sprinkle exactly three drops into each hand, but as few knew what I was doing, I quickly saw that this wasn't going to work, so I tried to get any water on their hands. I winced to see that some folks s
