Thank you for the invitation.
We should get to know each other more. I was living in Northridge for about a month before Shree Krishna gave us a big vehicle to live in. There are some nice devotees in the Valley as well. I will be leaving for Alachua on Saturday but if you are not going as well, let us get together some time.
I trust you will come to Badger this June.
Initiation is a very important step in the path of Bhakti. If you read Srila Rupa Goswami's Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu as per Nectar of Devotion, you will see that the very first steps in the path are association with pure devotees and taking initiation. Of course, initiation is a beginning and in one sense a type of formality, but heart to heart there needs to be a connection with a 'sadhoo' who is affectionate towards you.
Perhaps I am talking for no good reason, as you may have already made that strong connection. If you are already there in Srila Gurudeva's heart then great.
There is also a devotee Gustavo who just moved to Burbank from Ojai and I hope to see him also when I get the chance.
If I do not see you in Alachua then for sure Badger.
