- I have been in the movement since birth and have lived half of my childhood in Toronto, Canada. Unfortunately, I did not have the fortune of physically meeting Srila Prabhupada in this life, but I feel by being in his house (ISKCON) as a a toddler I grew attachment for him. I participated in many plays and dances: Kurma Avatara, Nrsmadeva, Saksi Gopal, Sudama Vpra, Lord Caitanya and Sanatan Gowswami, govardhan Hill, and so many others. Years, later I met Srila Gurudeva for the first time when I was 9 and in 2006 my father, mother, sister and I all got initiated. We have had the wonderful mercy of hosting Srila Gurudeva in 2006 and 2007 in Los Angeles and I hope to have the same fortune again.

In response to your humble request, concerning the funds I was to receive from the government, this is the result:
I just went to the Social Security Administration yesterday, and was told that I am to receive over $14,000.00. However, I am not going to recieve it all at once; I am to receive 3 months of my regular pay as an advance on the funds (which amounts to about $2,600.00. I will receive another similar check in 6 months (I was told it would be in August of this year). The next check will hold the remainder, which should be about $9,000.00.
Prabhu, I know I said I would help in the future and I still hope to do so...However, at this point, I am hoping to use this first check to make it to the Gaura Purnima 2009 next month. I have already put things into motion and hope to be able to bring back some textiles or material items to sell here in the U.S. to increase my funds. The full amount of this check will be used for that purpose.
I am still receiving $870.00 per month, however, I still have over $3,000.00 of debt still active on my credit report, and must start paying this in order to be eligible to remain in the housing program that I am in ('Los Angeles Shelter-Plus-Care program'). If I don't pay on my debts I am going to be homeless again; since there is no temple for me to stay at, I am stuck in this position. I cannot just donate my money and leave MYSELF stranded. If the prabhus in question have living situation sufficient for everyday survival, then I propose they remain until some suitable situation can be arranged.
I am meeting with some devotees this morning, actually, to discuss the matter that I have been discussing with Brajanath prabhu myself...I have been commissioned by Srila Gurudeva to work on a project I propose to him, which Avadhoot Maharaja is aware of. You van view this proposal in it's entirety on my Sanga-space home page, titled Gurudeva's Vaisnava Community Project. If I am going to invest in a venture concerning vaisnavas, it is going to be something that is directly approved, blessed and encouraged by Srila Gurudeva himself. At this time, it appears that bringing these devotees is not a high priority at this time, nor is it really a practical venture; we should focus our devotional service in helping as many devotees as possible. Please refer to my Vaisnava Community Project for more information on this type of concept.

Dandavats Malini dd, Yes i'm well thankyou. You seems very intelligent in siddhanta base on the letter you rote me, I was shocked when I came across your word mano-bhistam. We don't normally hear much young devotees of our ages often speaking such deep statements, cause they only know anusthaniki (the external initiation), not vidvat-rudhi (the internal initiation. I felt surcharged by your deep words, please continue your studies under the guidance of our guru varga & soon enough all doubts will be uprooted from your heart by divya-jnana. Then you will be able to gather all impressions that have been created in your heart, for utilyzing towards satisfing gurudev's heart felt desires. As your wellwisher, I wish all your heart aspirations will be fulfilled. Oh! You are trying to be merciful to me by glorifying me, but actually I'm not worthy of your glorification. I don't know what is dedication & humilty, so please teach me that I may one day follow in your footsteps. Please keep in touch so much to learn from you. Haribol!!!!!!!!
