About Me:: I first heard the glories of His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaja from several groups of devotees who came to my family’s nama hatta programs. They gave us videos of his classes, gave us his books, and told us so many stories about his inconceivable devotion, exemplary scholarship, and unparalleled sweetness. In June 1998, after months of anticipation, we traveled to the festival in Badger, California and finally received Srila Gurudeva’s darshan. He mercifully gave my entire family (consisting of my parents, my younger sister, and me) initiation. We endeavor to meet Srila Gurudeva whenever he comes on the US portion of his world tour.

I was a high school student when I first met Srila Gurudeva, and I have almost continuously remained in school since then. I am currently a Ph.D. student in education.

With the help of other vaisnava students in school and college, I am interested in developing bhakti-yoga clubs and preaching programs at our respective institutions. Please join the “Vaisnava Students” group on this site if you are interested. Even if you are not currently a student, please join our group and help us with ideas!

Several days ago my mothers soul departed from this world. God bless the departed soul.
I want to thank all of you who have been there for me and given me support during the past several months while my Mother was batteling pancreatic cancer.
This has meant alot to me and I'm eternaly grateful. Krishna Conciousness has taught me the real purpose of my life. I'm grateful to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva who has once again reminded me that the purpose of this life is to do Hari Bhajan. My Mothers soul is now free and is no longer going through pain & suffering. I am grateful for the time I was able to spend with her, and for the honor of serving her.
Thank you all again for being part of my life.

Yes, I have to say that particular photo of Srila Gurudeva is among my most favourite, some more of which I have just uploaded. You might like to check them out (pending their aproval by admin).

I can't say I know really where that picture came from. I collect little nectar-drops like that from here and there from different people at different times in different places and so on...

You might also like to pay close notice to some of the traditional art which I have uploaded. The picture With the devotee prostrated in the for-ground was commisioned by Prataparudra Maharaja in the 16th century. It is he in the foreground himself, and abouve from left to right are depicted Raghunathadasa Gosvami, Govinda dasa, Ramananda Raya, Sri Gadadhar Pandit, Sri Nityananda Prabhu, Sriman Mahaprabhu, Sri Advaita Acarya, Sri Srivasa Pandit, Sri Svarup-damodar, and Haridas Thakur. The cene is at Narendra Sarovar after the devotees have taken bath. Maharaja Prataparudra is Prastraite in the steps just abouve the water as Gadhadhar Pandit recites Srimad Bhagavatam to the assembly.

So sorry i havent had time to respond to your e-mails, but I think your ideas are great. I have already started a girls group here in teh bay area, where wewill do different activities, like Nama-hatta, bok dist, harinams, etc. And all the girls go to Uni or communitiy college, so we will hopefully in the future do some clubs. But I want to take baby steps, and when I feel that we are confident and stable then we will take steps towards clubs. Im very excited and optimistic!
