Srila Gurudevs "Bhakti Rasayana"

Srila Gurudev has given this wonderful literature and I've now completed reading it. From the very start I was captivated by the sweetest past times and his comments. As the pages took me deeper into the book I easily became more absorbed. It's quite applicable in Srila Gurudev's pranam mantras how we're told he is expert in describing Krsna lila and since he is always relishing Krsna's past times, is able to freely distribute that sweetness to others.

We are running a gurukula for poor children in Bangalore. This gurukula provides the free English medium education for 20 children. The children have been admitted in Jyoti Vidyalaya, a near-by school. Ashrama paid about Rs. 50,000 ($1200 USD) as the donation and fees for the gurukulis. The children are very intelligent and sharp. They are influencing their classmates by telling them not to eat meat, fish and eggs. They also distribute the mantra cards.

A lot more boys are interested in joining Srila Gurudeva’s ashrama. If we receive some additional funds, we shall be able to accommodate many more devotees in this gurukula and give them first class education. The children are our future. Today’s children are tomorrow’s citizens. They shall lead the Gaudiya Matha activities and preach vigorously.

We are planning to expand our activities soon. We also desire to build a new school. Ashrama is in the process of acquiring some more land a little away from the existing ashrama, where we want to start an ashrama for ladies and girls.

Bangalore ashrama needs an LCD projector for showing the movies and other preaching material in towns and villages around Bangalore. This type of outreach program shall definitely attract a lot more people and children to our ashrama and gurukula.

Let join hands fulfilling the prophesy of Srila Gurudeva that Bangalore Ashrama shall have 1000 devotees staying in it. Srila Gurudeva wants that our ashrama should be like Vasista and Viswamitra Rsi’s ashrama.

Did we meet in the Tucson, Az temple some 4-5 yrs ago? I met a devotee then who also was driving and at the time residing in Ca. If so just see how vaisnava sanga is eternally existant-it is spiritual in nature and is the mercy of Guru and Krsna. Nice to know that you are taking the Divine shelter of Gurudeva!

‘Vrishabhanu-nandini japa hi rati dini’:

"Day and night Krishna is doing japa of Srimati Radharani’s name.” Hundreds of thousands of sweet and beautiful young girls are speaking sweet words to Him, but He doesn’t even turn a side of His ear to them. In this
way Vrishabhanu-nandini is establishing the greatest welfare for Krishna.

Krishna cannot even properly pronounce the word ‘Radha’ because His heart is completely breaking. Thus He can only say ‘Ra’. Insofar as His voice is completely choked when He arrives at the second syllable ‘Dha’, it is impossible for Him to pronouce it immediately.

He cannot pronounce in one strike this entire name ‘Radha’, which consists of only two syllables. Thus, while He chants Ra---- dha, He also is chanting dha ra.
So when you turn Her name around it becomes ‘dhara’ (stream). Then it becomes possible for Him, because, as it is said in the song, ‘dhara bohe lor’: “This stream is coming out of His eyes in the form of tears of love.” That is, the name Radha produces ashru dhara, [streams of tears].
