I first met the devotees on Venice Beach in California when they only had the house on Dudley avenue for an ashram. When one follows the basic process of yoga, a person will naturally attain the Brahman and then the Paramatma realizations sequentially. Of course, this depends on how thoroughly one follows the process. In essence, the Brahman realization involves perceiving the spiritual energy behind all aspects of the creation, opposite to the mundane world. Brahman is the passive aspect of the non-dual substance of the Absolute Truth. It is the realization of the Supreme Being without any of His potencies or qualities. If one goes no further, he will naturally conclude that realization of the Brahman is the ultimate perception and understanding of the Absolute.
The Paramatma realization is to perceive the Supersoul within all material forms, within all living entities and even all material elements. Paramatma is the partial expansion of the Lord in the material world. But to go further and attain the Bhagavan realization, one needs to attain a totally spiritual vision without any material conceptions or conditionings to perceive the completely transcendental form of the Supreme Lord, Bhagavan--as He is. The formless aspect of the Supreme Person is Brahman. But when that Supreme Brahman is endowed with His natural potencies and qualities, then the Brahman aspect is transformed into the more complete Bhagavan aspect. Therefore, Bhagavan is the original nature of the Absolute Truth with full qualities and potencies, while the Brahman is merely the impersonal, transcendental bodily effulgence.
Lord Narayana is the opulent and potent manifestation of Bhagavan, husband of Lakshmi devi, the Goddess of fortune, while Sri Krishna is the naturally loving and sweet aspect of Bhagavan, Lord of Srimati Radharani, and center of the spiritual abode.

I hope you are well, and advancing in Krsna Conciousness, by the Divine Grace of our beloved Srila Gurudeva.
I hope you remember me. I am Gaurasundara Dasa, one of the committee members of the L.A. Sanga Temple at Rose Avenue, where we met while taking prasad together with Sripad Avadhutta Maharaja.
It has been a while since we have seen you, and wish your kind association again at the Temple. I hope you are progressing nicely in your Krsna conciousness, and wish to reinvite you once again to our regular Sunday programs tht begin at 2pm, each Sunday, at the Rose Avenue Temple preaching center.
Sripad Avadhutta Maharaja has left for Houston, as per Srila Gurudeva's orders, and we are being sent Kishori Mohan Prabhu, his blessed wife Sudevi Didi, and her brother, Gopala Prabhu, as replacements in heading up the preaching in L.A., as per Srila Gurudeva's new instructions.
In preparing for their arrival, we are presently in the process of renovating the downstairs and collecting sufficient funds to convert three unused spaces into rooms, so the preachers that Srila Gurudeva wants to send us can be properly housed there while they head up the preaching in Los Angeles. This is Srila Gurudeva's "Heart's Desire", as indiacted by his Divine Grace's attached e-mail below, and would mean the birth of a new Temple in L.A., as it would then be able to be open 7 days a week, with fixed Deities -- something we have not had in L.A. for 2 years.
In this regard, I am humbly approaching you, on behalf of Srila Gurudeva, for some kind and generous donation support that you indicated you may be in a position to provide, when we all spoke together some time ago, your good self, Sripad Avadhutta Maharaja, and myself, during prasad, several Sundays ago, last year, when you indicated that you would like to help us with some donation support, and indicated that you would be receiving a $10,000 sum from the government. At that time, you indicated to us kindly and generously, that you needed only a small sum for your maintenance, and would gladly like to support Srila Gurudeva's Temple with the rest.
This, if there ever was a better time, is that time. I am humbly, therefore, requesting your good self, on behalf of Srila Gurudeva, to give what you can for the renovation effort and housing effort for these dear devotees that Srila Gurudeva is sending to spearhead His Temple in L.A.
I am not here to waste your time, as a member of the L.A. Committee, and I'm not simply talking hot air here. This project is real, and is of the utmost urgency, as we must complete it or intend to complete it by Sri Gaura Purnima, as a condition for their arrival afterwards, as per Srila Gurdeva's wishes.
To this end, a detailed line item budget has been put together, outling the specific costs and items needed to make this happen, which would mean the birth of a new Temple in L.A. 7 days a week, 365 days a year, which we have not had for about 2 years. That budget is below, prabhuji.

So the total amount needed, prabhu, to bring these preachers to L.A. that Srila Gurudeva wants to send to spearhead and head up the preaching in L.A, along with all the renovation costs associated with launching this new Temple, is $7816. 73.
Any amount you can give towards this would be greatly appreciated. We really need thwe whole amount, which is really around $10,000, if we include the fees for the foreman to supervise the construction.
Please kindly give as much as you can towards this to see Srila Gurudeva's "Heart's Desire" manifest in L.A.

I received your letter and became very happy to read that you are ready to follow my heart's desire. It is my wish that you will go to Los Angeles and assist me there in all ways.
You will be there on the condition that all your needs for housing and maintenance will be looked after. If you can live in the building where the temple programs are held, this will be most favorable and wonderful.
Kindly consult with the devotees in Los Angeles and if you are satisfied that they are ready for you, then you should go there. If they are indeed ready, then my suggestion is that you will go there after Sri Gaura Purnima festival.
If any money is needed for changing your tickets & repayment of previous tickets, I want to help and provide a donation towards this.

So much communication is going on in the background regarding Los Angeles. We have no independent desire to go there. We have been extremely happy with our seva of traveling and preaching. Until now, they were telling us that within 4 months, we'd be required to come up with a miniumum of $2000 per month for our maintenance including rent. Srila Gurudev was clearly opposed to this idea and sent a message that we should just continue travelling and preaching then.
But now, Gaurasundar Prabhu is discussing fixing up the basement and making that our living quarters/ preaching center. He seems to be a one-man show.
We need a clear order from Srila Gurudev so that we can clearly communicate to LA and the rest of the devotees whom we visit around the world.
Are we going or not?
