God's true goblets


As unique goblets
He created us out of earth.
So that each one becomes
a goblet of pure love.

But a useful goblet must
go the way through fire.
It burns in true love
only so it can come into new existence.

The will of the lover becomes
the will of the beloved alone.
Only a fired goblet will be useful
for the water from the source
of mercy.
