- Grew up in Los Angeles, California. In 1979 right out of high school I met Srimati Mula Prakriti dasi, while taking summer courses at East LA College, she gave me a BTG and invited me to the Los Angeles ISKCON Temple. After 3 months of visiting the temple and taking prasadam I moved in to the bhakta program with Sriman Pushpadanta Prabhu as bhakta leader. After a few months of doing harinam in downtown LA, I was asked to join the Sankirtan Party. I was a bramacari and book distributor for 7 years.
In 1986 I got married and in 1989 moved to Hawaii were I served as Temple President of the Iskcon temple for 4 years. Also while living there I along with my now ex-wife, we had two beautiful boys named Sadhu & Ambarish, who are currently living in Marin County.
In 1999 while living in Hawaii I had the great fortune to meet my beloved eternal trancendental spirtual master, Om Vishnu Pada Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja. I recieved diksa by His Grace and he also very mercifully installed my Sri Sri Radha Govinda deities, whom I had been serving for the past 13 years. This is when my life began to have meaning. Srila Gurudeva would visit Hawaii twice a year for a month at a time. He told me that I could come and see him as much as I liked. So there were many opportunities to be with him on the North shore of the island of Oahu.
In 2004 I moved to Oakland in northern california to be closer to my children, and became part of the Bay Area Sanga. The Bay Area Sanga is sweet group of dedicated followers of Srila Gurudeva. In this sanga I recieved very nice association.
In 2005 by the grace of Kasturi manjari my new mother in law I met my wife Kanaka Manjari aka Kilimba Dasi. We were married by Srila Gurudeva in Hawaii on the porch of our good mutual friends and the very first devotee that I had met, back in 1979... Mula and Gopavrindapal Prabhus'. Talk about the grace of god!
Life is good! All my good fortune is coming by the grace of my spiritual master Srila Gurudeva; his mercy is all that I am made of.....

I'm praying to the feet of the Vaisnavas to bestow their mercy on me and to forgive any offenses that I have commited. I know there are many. I am fallen, spiritually blind and most wicked, so please be kind upon this lowly soul.

What would you like to see on the menu at a vegetarian restaurant?
I'm creating a menu for our restaurant in San Rafael, California called Radiance. The menu is going to be simple but creative and plentiful at the same time. We will have a specials menu that will be ever-changing. You know, Srimati Radhika never cooks the exact same dish twice for her beloved Sri Krsna, so the Radiance menu will be full of tasty surprises.
Please don't forget to mention some delightful desserts, and breath-taking beverages as well.

As you already know, we are running a Gurukul Ashrama for poor children in Bangalore. Currently we are building a nice kitchen so that we can cook efficiently for the Deities and serve that Mahaprasada to children. We give free education and food to 40 children and orphans. Srila Gurudeva will be visiting our farm in September 2nd week. We would like to complete the kitchen work before then. Can you please help us with a small donation to complete this work?
