All types of material happiness and distress, which we experience, are due to karma past impressions and activities.

I have often wondered why it is that whole nations or particular creeds and races have suffered so extremely as a group.
(Such as Africans and Jewish persons)?
I mean it is perhaps of no great importance (I mean-in relation to Bhakti and the pursuance of it of course) nor an imperative piece of knowledge.

At 10:05pm on December 28, 2008, candrakala dasi said…: Jai Sri inspired us to again do Hari nama in M'bah, so on Wednesday were're going to do one for her. All is well here, today a few of us bought our tickets for Navadvipa. Gurudeva also told Dhananjaya Prabhu to bring Jaya Sri's ashes and put some in the Ganges at Navadvipa and some at Haridwar. Actually there's at least 12 of us on the same flight at this stage (5 children). My husband is well he's mellowing into a nice sincere devotee dedicated to serving Gurudeva. We have a little temple here which Gurudeva named Sri Giriraja Gaudiya Matha, and there's a few sweet devotees living here. The rivers great for swimming.

It wasn't until then they knew for sure the cancer had returned. I was surprised when we saw her how happy and effulgent she was although she could only whisper. Visiting her felt so purifying both me and Anuradha felt like we'd just been to Vrndavana. Jai Sri chose the kirtanas she wanted us to sing.

Remembering your mother and fathers kindness, the programs you had twice a week and the ecstatic kirtanas you girls would expertly sing she said they were just as good as the bramacaris in India and she'd feel like she was floating above the ground. She also said she took you girls on Hare nama a few times and she was lamenting that she didn't let you guys have total freedom because she also wanted to lead and she felt that had put you off. just trying to share with you some of the last conversations Jai Sri had and her affectionate remembrances of you.

At 8:47am on December 28, 2008, candrakala dasi said…: Dear Urjesvari Didi and family last time I saw Jai Sri on Christmas day I asked her if I could contact your family and let them know what was happening with her. She said you were like a mother and would worry too much and so she wrote that letter speaking about bronchitis, not wanting to mention cancer. At that stage she was optimistic to again go thru kimo even though the doctors said there was basically no hope. So I want to appologize to you I wanted to tell you more but I also felt it necessary to do as Jai Sri had asked. Actually at that stage we still thought there was hope, things just got rapidly worse from there, very quickly. A few times we went and sang bajans with her in hospital, but then she didn't want any visitors and only Kanak Manjari was there when she left. Gurudeva wrote her a beautiful letter while she was in hospital telling her to remember there time at Goverdahn and the pastime places, and Radha and Krishna. Dananjaya said she looked peaceful, he arrived about 20 mins after she left. I'm sorry I don't have a personal Email to send this through, I just wanted to let you know. Gurudeva wrote Dananjaya Prabhu a beautiful letter here is part of it....." I became sad to hear that my dear darling daughter Jaya Sri has left her body. My special heartly blessings are for her that she will receive a beautiful, healthy body and be in constant association of pure devotees.
I am praying to Sri Giriraja and Sri Sri Radha Krsna to bestow Their causeless mercy upon her that she will take birth in Vrndavan and attain perfection in her sadhana and bhajan."
