Sree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, in the first verse of Shikshashtaka, has glorified the chanting of the Holy Name `Sree Krishna'. `Sree' means beauty. What is beauty of Krishna? Beauty is the potency attribute of Krishna. The attribute of a thing is it's beauty. That complete potency of Krishna in concrete form is called `Aradhika' or briefly, `Radhika'. Sree Krishna is the predominating aspect of the moiety. As such Sree Krishna means Radha-Krishna. You are to chant the Holy Name Radha-Krishna. Knowing the significance of Mahamantra, by chanting— `Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare', you can get sevenfold principal attainments— all attainments. First attainment is, "Ceto Dharpana Märjanam"— cleansing of the mind which is compared with mirror. Sankirtan means to chant correctly and completely. There are three meanings of Sankirtan — (1) to chant Holy Name without tenfold offences (2) to chant completely—Name, Form, Attributes, Associates and Pastimes (3) to chant loudly and collectively the Holy Name in the association of Shudha Bhaktas.

Hare Krishna! Dandavat pranams! All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!
As you already know, we are running a Gurukul Ashrama for poor children in Bangalore. Currently we are building a nice kitchen so that we can cook efficiently for the Deities and serve that Mahaprasada to children. We give free education and food to 40 children and orphans. Srila Gurudeva will be visiting our farm in September 2nd week. We would like to complete the kitchen work before then. Can you please help us with a small donation to complete this work?
If you would like to make a small contribution, you can always use the Paypal button on http://www.bhaktistudies.com for making any small donation (can be even Rs. 200 or $5). Total expenses are about $5000.
Crossed checks in Indian currency can also be mailed in the name of “Sri Rangnatha Gaudiya Matha Charitable Trust” to Sri Rangnatha Gaudiya Matha Charitable Trust, Hesarghatta, Bangalore-560088 INDIA

Yes DD, my intentions are there. I booked my ticket, so hopefully by the grace of the Supreme Lord I will again be able to perform parikrama of Navadvipa Dham and have sadhu sanga. Will you be coming as well?
I'm sorry DD, but those words were neither words of humbleness, nor a sign of saranagati, as they are simple facts about my state of being. Therefore I'm praying to Srila Gurudeva, so that my heart may develop actual service attitude and actual saranagati to Gurudeva, from which humbleness will follow. My E-mail is jorismaas@orange.nl if you wish to send me pictures of Gurudeva in Delhi. I would be delighted to receive them.
I'm a bit of a idler, not very pro-active. What is that 'idler'? 1. a person who passes time in a lazy or unproductive way.
Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur has written his song Amara Jivana for fallen souls such as me. The only thing in that song I cannot identify with fully yet, is old age. For the rest He seems to be describing my character to the letter. Because of my poor character, I never spontaneously write to anyone, therefore it follows that if nobody contacts me on Sanga Space, and from the fact that I don't have anything useful to say, it follows that I don't know what to write and so it falls quiet. Right now, I'm praying I can get my flight to Calcutta for Navadvipa Parikrama, and just praying for Srila Gurudeva's mercy, knowing that I can't achieve anything by myself. I'm praying that I might be able to please Srila Gurudeva, that is my goal.
