About Me:
To be able to speak about the real me would entail my sincere endeavour and full engagement in serving the lotusfeet of Sri Guru and the Vaishnava's paired with Sri Sri Guru & Gauranga's causeless mercy. Since I'm still serving my false ego much more than Guru & Vaishnava I can't really speak about the real me.
As far as the bodily me is concerned, well I won't bore you with the details. What I can tell you is that I've always been interested in "what's out there", and whatever satisfying answers I could not find in the Holy Bible or any watered-down Eastern philosophy derivative under the guise of "new age", I was able to find in Gaudiya Vaishnavism.
In 1999 I had the great fortune to meet a highly qualified Dutch disciple of Srila Bhakti Promod Puri Goswami Maharaj and from his very first lecture on, everything fell into place. I had finally found a philosophy that could properly answer all my questions. I never looked back since and have been gradually intensifying my Sadhana. Somehow, by Guru & Gauranga's mercy I've come into contact with Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaj's math and his very fine disciples, and am now feeling very much at home attending regularly the weekly programs at the Rotterdam temple, the Sri Sri Radha Govinda Gaudiya Math. And now I'm here at Sanga Space by request of some of my devotee friends, so it could prove to be an interesting experience.

Nitai Gaura Haribol!

Harinam and Navadvipa Parikrama 2008

I have just returned from my first visit to India. I went there especially to receive Harinam from my beloved guru, Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj, and also to perform parikrama of Navadvipa.
We don't find guru, but guru will find us, I believe that is said. Similarly, my guru found me in Holland in the year 2000 and 2001, but I was too much of a stubborn materialist to realize that he was my guru. Thus, also being new to the path of bhakti, I refused to immediately surrender to him.…

Hare Krishna ! Dandavat Pranams.
Its so good to hear from you.I felt so happy when i saw your profile. We are really fortunate that due to the absolute grace of Srila Gurudev,we got this opportunity to sing the glories of Gurudev.I didn't went for Navadvipa Dhama Parikrama this year,my parents went there.I wish that you will visit India in Kartika Vrat during Vrajmandala Parikrama.Yesterday,on the holy appearace of Sri Jahnava Devi and the potecy of Lord Ram-Sita Devi,i got the chance to hear harikatha from Srila Bhakti Vijnan Bharati Maharaj. He spoke of the importance of Chandanyatra of Lord Jagannatha Dev in Purushottam Dham(Puri),he also told us that without the grace of Nityananda Shakti-Jahnava Devi ji,we cannot get pure devotion.
And are you going through Srila Gurudev's lecture regularly during video conferences?

Haribol , Jai Gurudev!

Dear Joris Prabhu,

Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble respects. All glories to Guru and Gauranga! Thank you very much for your msg. I am very grateful for your words. Please do not address me as sadhu because I am no where near to that category. I am really struggling hard with my sadhanas. Your prayers and blessings are necessary for my continued survival.

I do apologise for the delay in replying. One reason is because of the exam season and that calls for extra classes for my students. Now that the exams are over, its time to grade the exam scripts and generate reports about the students performance. Paperwork .

I believe the weather should be getting better now and more to your liking. Yes Spring is indeed a season which is universally glorified as the best of seasons. Even the Bhagavatam glorifies this season in connection with Lord Krishna’s pastimes. Funny though in Malaysia we don’t have a spring season. We are located in the tropics and there are only two types of season here ie. warm and wet. Currently we get them both mixed. So some days it might rain and then the sun makes a comeback. Weather patterns have changed drastically here after the tsunami incident.

Now about your devotee friend from Malaysia and his remarks about how Hindus are being mistreated. You have used the words “harassed and oppressed”. These are very strong words. This so called Hindu dilemma came into light recently when a group of Hindus demonstrated unlawfully in the capital Kuala Lumpur. There was conflict with the police enforcement personnel and this was televised all over the world. So now the whole world thinks that the Hindus in Malaysia are “harassed” and “oppressed”. I was born here and have been practising my religion ever since. I have never felt alienated or deprived of my freedom of worship. Festivals go on without any problems. Honestly there is no threat whatsoever. The group that created all this unnecessary conflicts were basically seeking political mileage and media coverage. They are known as HINDRAF meaning Hindu Resistance Action Force. Personally their cause is not worthy of support. Yes Malaysia is predominantly Muslim but they are taking a moderate approach when dealing with their citizens of other faiths. It is not a perfect government and there are prejudices and discriminations along the lines of race and religion. But not to the extent to rob people of their freedom of worship. You want to experience oppression and harassment then go to India and see it for yourself. It is a country where the majority are treated as minority. Their so called secular government is so biased against Hindus while gladly giving a helping hand to the other faiths. Recently a western Vaishnava on a lecture tour of India reported to the masses that he strongly believes that the Hindus in America have more freedom of worship than the Hindus of India. You will be shocked about how the secular government handles matters relating to Hindus. Here is one fact for you to swallow if you can. Every Muslim in India who undertakes a pilgrimage to Mecca for the Haj is given a large amount of money for his expenses by the government. But not a single cent is given to Hindu pilgrims who go on their pilgrimages. In modern times not a single Hindu temple had been built with the government’s help, it has been achieved from public donations. In Malaysia the government has partially funded temple constructions. Ask your Antwerp friend to do a little homework on these issues, better still advise him to go to India and see things for himself. Maybe you would like to come over here someday and experience things for yourself. You are always welcome to my home and I will gladly show you how we are harassed and oppressed.

It has been indeed a long message. But it was necessary to put things straight. I look forward to your continued association in Sanga Space. Have a nice kc life. Bye. Haribol!

Your servant,
Suda.
