Yes, chanting is most definitely the key to progress in Krsna Consciousness and I understand that your mood in chanting is of utmost importance; it usually takes a few rounds before my mind settles properly. I've been chanting on and off for a couple of years now but over the past few months I've settled into a daily routine. Sometimes I just start crying when I chant but from joy, not sadness. I will endeavour to be the best that I can be for Krishna in serving Him and his devotees. Haribol!
