- My family became devotees when I was around 12 years old and some how, kicking and screaming, I have been dragged along too! I spent most of my adolescence in Murwillumbah and around New Govardhana. By a huge dose of mercy, I met Srila Gurudeva during his visit to Australia in 1996 and received the name Damodara Priya dasi (I used to be called Durga!!). I live and work in Australia and due to my employment with the Australian Government, currently reside in Canberra. I'm about to do a triathlon and do my best to keep fit and healthy. I don't get to see devotees much, but most of my friends describe themselves as 'Krsna Friendly' and I have the cutest Gaura-Nittai dieties who have been with me since I was 14 years old, and amazingly, they haven't left me yet - fingers crossed they stick around a little longer too! :-)
