eternally aspiring for service to Sri Guru and Vaisnavas
Occupation:
retail business owner
About Me:
Though I took birth in America in November 1977 in an Indian body to Indian parents, I have much attachment for India and its culture. Since birth, we were raised going to ISKCON temples and as a little girl I would jump up and down in the kirtans in front of Swami Maharaja's vyasasana and I would look so forward to the big Janmastami festivals at the temple. We went to so many temples of different Hindu sectarian schools, but I was always attached to Srila Swami Maharaja's ISKCON. Then, after journeying and diverting through school, high school and college, and boring corporate jobs...I realized I needed direction in my life. I would always question, why, why did I not have the great fortune of meeting Srila Swami Maharaja. By Guru's everlasting mercy and great fortune, when I met Srila Gurudeva I felt in my heart this is non-different than meeting Srila Swami Maharaja.
Right now, I have great difficult reconciling the two lives I lead. One being a business owner and two aspiring for daily devotional service and progression on the path of bhakti. But unfortunately, I have not learnt my lesson. While working like a donkey day and night, I still have no faith that Lord Krishna will take care of me if only I would surrender to the loving protection He offers.
When will I understand all this work may result in nothing? When I do understand, certainly on that day Srila Gurudeva would be pleased.
I'm offering my prayers to all the senior Vaisnavas that I will one day get it right and I will one day stop criticizing and using harsh words on others.
Hare Krishna!
Jaya Sri Sri Radha Gopinath, Dear Binodini, Dandavats. Also I am missing being on tour with Srila Gurudeva, but I take it that Guru and Krsna know what is better for each individual.

Several days ago my mothers soul departed from this world. God bless the departed soul.
I want to thank all of you who have been there for me and given me support during the past several months while my Mother was batteling pancreatic cancer.
This has meant alot to me and I'm eternaly grateful. Krishna Conciousness has taught me the real purpose of my life. I'm grateful to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva who has once again reminded me that the purpose of this life is to do Hari Bhajan. My Mothers soul is now free and is no longer going through pain & suffering. I am grateful for the time I was able to spend with her, and for the honor of serving her.
Thank you all again for being part of my life.
