The mind is forever begging for the opportunity to hear the drum-beat of the mrdanga (printed words are the great, or brhad-mrdanga, and the living preacher is the jivanta-mrdanga). By hearing the kirtana that Sri Gaurasundara ordained and that He Himself performed, the heart dances in bliss.
